I am currently training in Clinical Sexology. Sex is often talked about in sessions. Sometimes there is a difficulty with sexual intimacy that can feel awkward to bring to anyone outside of a confidential therapeutic space. I welcome the conversation as part of adult life and the journey we are all on towards holistic well-being. As part of my training I am able to work with individuals who want to see change in their sexual issues. This is priced at a reduced fee due to my student status.
As a Youth Enquiry Service co-ordinator for many years, part of my work was facilitating one to one sexual health advice information and support sessions. I have always wanted to support people in having safe, healthy sexual practices and this stays with me in the counselling work I currently do. Clients often don’t know quite how to ‘put it on the table’ so I am making it obvious here that I am more than happy for sex to be talked about. Sometimes it can feel that there isn’t anywhere else to take it.
